Vintage Guitar Serial Numbers - Aria & Aria Pro II

In the mid-70s, serial numbers began to be used. They contained the date of manufacture. Generally the serial numbers were six digits.

Year Serial Number
1970s The first two digits denoted the year of manufacture.
1980s Only the first digit indicated the date. Ex. 801301 = 1988
1987 & later First two digits = year, second two digits = week of the year.
