Vintage Guitar Serial Numbers - B.C. Rich

The first 350 (give or take) guitars made were numbered sequentially. Ex. 1, 2, 3, etc.

By 1974, a two digit date begain the serial number. Ex. 74370

By 1980, production had moved faster than the serial numbers. In 1980, they were 2 years ahead. Ex. 82305 would have been made in 1980.

By 1982, they were four years ahead. Ex. 86009 = 1982.
