Vintage Guitar Serial Numbers - Ibanez

From 1975-1988, serial numbers began with the letters A through L representing the month, followed by a six digit serial number. The first two digits denoted the year of manufacture. Ex. B763456 = February 1976.

In 1988, the month code is deleted.

In 1994, serial numbers had F for Fuji or C for Cort prefixes. Fuji = Japan, Cort = Korea, followed by a number for the year. Ex. F61234 = made in Japan, 1996
